Far Beyond Easy.

This is another fine collection of TAB plus backing track books from Hal Leonard. I got this mostly to practice my right hand picking technique and work on my speed, and wow yeah this is a good one for that! Whats cool about this one is alot of the intros and melodies are somewhat "easy" to get under your fingers with a lot of practice, but then when it comes to the guitar solo parts, thats where it gets pretty insane. Do-able and nice to have one reliable sourse if you're a big time Dime fan, but those solos are going to take a LOT of repetition!! ;-) Great backing tracks. Minus the one star for some of the guitar work was a little oddly off from the originals, making it somewhat difficult to process. Still, a great Play Along book for Pantera fans or those wanting to rock out.

**I started a rating system based solely on how technically difficult the songs are to play fully and exactly as transcribed; 10 being extremely difficult. I buy these play along books not usually so much to play exactly along note for note, but if that's what you do then the rating is based on those who would do that: note for note, no improvising.

Difficulty: 9.3 Pretty extreme in quite a few areas. Melodies are easier to learn than the Dime solos. Really good backing tracks.

About the Author
Blake Crouch was born in the North Carolina piedmont in 1978. He earned his undergraduate degrees in English and creative writing from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, publishing his first two novels within five years of graduation. Since then he has published eight additional novels as well as multiple novellas, short stories, and articles. His novels Fully Loaded, Run, and Stirred, which was co-written with J. A. Konrath, have each earned spots in the top ten of the Kindle bestseller list. Three novels, one novella, and one short story have all been optioned for film. He lives today in Durango, Colorado.

Excellent Book - But Full of Typos

I agree with all the positive comments on this book. It's really great. But there are *many* typos on the book. Sometimes, the typos can make it more difficult to understand the matter. Like when calling and called are interchanged. But I recommend the purchase of this book.

Probably the most comprehensive and up to date!

I am a researcher at Vienna University of Technology with the focus on signalling in IP networks. The current projects deal with PSTN/IP telephony convergence, so I needed a good understanding of SS7.

This book was easier to understand than the other popular book on SS7 (which I also own), contained better explanations, more practical details, and covered European network implementations in addition to US networks.

It seems very comprehensive as I was not forced to look up some other literature since all relevant topics are already covered.

The book has a very understandable introductions to SS7 AND full details of the protocol stack (MTP, ISUP, SCCP, TCAP) as well as its interaction with Intelligent Network services, GSM cellular networks like and IP.

There is even a chapter dedicated to SigTran, specifying the way how SS7 messages can be transported over IP networks.

It seems that the authors also have a clear understanding of IP networks which is very beneficial for the book, since it helps bridge over the two worlds.

I am glad to have a copy of this book in my library. It's probably the most comprehensive, best written and most up to date SS7 book available.

This is the book I've been looking for!

How great it is to find a book that covers the depth and breadth of SS7! Having worked with the SS7 protocol for the past 10 years, I am pleasantly surprised by this latest book by Lee Dryburgh and Jeff Hewett. Their book provides me one stop shopping, where in the past I have had to accumulate several technical resources to find the same information. Topics encompass telecom history, network terminology, interactions between PSTN and SS7 networks, SS7 protocols, SS7 testing requirements, application of TCAP protocols across an SS7 network, Next Generation protocols, and MORE!

.

This text is written in a manner that is easily understood by those new to the topic of SS7, and as such can be used as a training resource. Anyone who buys this book will keep it as a referral document for a long time to come.

A great go to guide!

The book was just what I was looking for. I'm a DIY kinda guy so this was right up my alley. It touches base with every aspect of the vehicle especially the B15 Sentras. It goes into enough depth and detail that's easy to understand and leads to further examination of your ride. I own a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V and I enjoyed the information specifically for it.

I recommend this book to those that are just getting into autocross or straight line racing. It's a great reference point that snowballs into further research.

Exellent Guidline for tuning NIssan Sport Compacts

Combined with a factory service manual, this book was obviously written to be informative and provide tuning guidance, and not step by step processes, which it does effectively.

With regards to the book pointing to the "FSM", a person modifying a modern car would be insane to not own a Factory Service Manual.

While the engine performance modifications may not agree with some of the other reviewers, the turbocharger is the equalizer for sport compacts when compared to big displacement engines, which is my primary area of interest. However, the book covers tuning aspects from bumper to bumper, from suspension to driveline to body modifications.

A final thought, as one reviewer mentioned, Nissan Sport Compacts DO NOT receive the aftermarket support that Honda does. Knowing which manufacturers of quality parts to pick from is half the game, and the book points them out effectively.

No brainer for the price.

Great book with huge wealth of information!

If you own the cars or engines mentioned in this book, buy it. It has great information and really tells you what NOT to do along with what should be done properly.

It will not tell you what to step-by-step. That the dumbest answer I read for reviews for this book. Nothing will be step-by-step, you gotta get your hands dirty and use your brain to think some before you start wrenching on a car.

Sarah's book really helps the beginners with engine processes and goes deep into turbo adds and engine swaps, suspension, everything. The book is great, go do yourself a favor and buy it if you own an engine or car mentioned in this book. You won't regret it!

Reynolds (Ish) creates a lighthearted yet insightful fable about the repercussions of overscheduled lives. The tale's opening line—"Leo was a busy lad"—appears opposite a picture of a blond boy diligently multitasking. No matter how hard he works, there is always more to do, so he decides to make a to-do list. Alas that list grows and grows, leading Leo to utter, "So few of me and so much to do. If only there were two of me." Immediately, there is a knock on the door, which Leo opens to find an identical replica of himself. The two find even more to do—as do the subsequent Leos—until there are 10 in all, "each one busier than the next." Though his conscientious clones announce there is no time to rest, exhausted Leo slips away to take a nap. Still savoring his naptime dream, Leo wonders, "What if I did less—but did my best?" Rendered in watercolor, ink and tea, Reynolds's art provides a deft balance of spare pages and comically cluttered compositions, and gives the various Leos an entertaining array of facial expressions. An engaging and eye-opening tale for over-programmed kids and the adults who set their schedules. All ages. (Sept.)

Kindergarten-Grade 3–Leo is a busy lad–so busy, in fact, that he wishes for a second Leo to share his chores. Just like that, another Leo appears…and another…and another. But instead of reducing his workload, all the extra Leos only seem to increase it. With so much personnel to manage, things eventually become complicated enough to justify a sixth Leo, who enters the picture as a kind of consultant–and who advises the others to bring in a seventh. The situation deteriorates from there, until–with 10 Leos running themselves ragged–the original lad ultimately concludes that efficiency and productivity are sometimes overrated. Reynolds's ink, watercolor, and tea illustrations begin spare and simple and get progressively more frantic as the book's population explodes. The story ends with a much more serene Leo, alone again, savoring his peace, quiet, and refreshingly uncluttered schedule. Consider this a solid supplemental purchase for collections with the space–and, of course, the time!–to spare.–Catherine Threadgill, Charleston County Public Library, SC
